D&D launches Cinnamon Candy

D&D has moved into private events and party planning with a new stand-alone company called Cinnamon Candy. Headed up by Mike Dewing, head chef at events company The Admirable Crichton for the past 10 years, the new company will draw on D&D’s food and wine expertise.

Marina Souter, who spent five years with Rhubarb Food Design, joins Mike and together the pair will create a “one-stop shop” for events. Drawing on D&D chefs and sommeliers, such as Le Pont de la Tour head sommelier Nicolas Clerc or Plateau head chef Allan Pickett, Cinnamon Candy will be able to create bespoke menus linked to customers’ favourite chefs and sommeliers.

“We’re able to draw on D&D’s expertise, from front-of-house service to amazing wine lists and food,” said Mike. “We want to push the envelope and surpass people’s expectations of what private event catering is about.

“For the past 10 years I’ve been cutting my teeth at the higher echelons of private event business, experiencing some great events and serving incredible food. This is the opportunity to take the best bits of the past 10 years and move forward with something unique.”
